    Default Jonathon Boyer Bicycling article

First I must admit to being a huge non-fan of Bicycling. That said I found myself flipping through an issue at the grocery store today and read the article on the first American in the tour.

Pretty intense and really engrossing I thought. Anybody read this also? First thing I've read in Bicycling that I remember making me think. Is the magazine getting better (gasp). Or was this a rarity?

Yes, the article was pretty "raw" compared to the typical sanitized blather that comes out of that magazine, especially with respect to Boyer's previous criminal conviction.

    Default First time

First time I ever handed Bicycling Mag to my wife to get her perspective on an article. First Style Man is gone and now this. Maybe the new editor is having an impact...

No excuses for Boyer, but an illuminating story of redemption.

There is more to his story. (and I don't mean his side of the story with regard to what happened with the girl)
If you can't locate an online copy, let me know. I'll mail or fax you one.

    I read the article.

Sorry he can pray and drink tea til the cows come home for redemption , but he's still a child molester plain and simple. To me the two worst crimes to humanity are against children and pets.

This was a good article. I find plenty of good stuff each month in Bicycling, and it does seem to be getting much better lately.
