Default It's not about the dope....yeah right.

IMO smaller companies that were on the fence about new cycling sponsorship just closed up their wallets this week.
I know he repeats it several times, it's not about the USADA report, but c'mon Bauer. Just because you and Yates were teammates doesn't mean you have to act as naive as he is.

    This sucks ass!

    I'm gutted for Tim Duggan.

Agreed. I'm sure decisions like this are complex, but recent events will clearly tip the scales away from sponsorship. I really hope Duggan finds a good ride for next year.

Two guys I thought I knew better; Bauer and Steida have been REALLY disappointing this week.

    REALLY disappointing.

It sure was great when builders used to come onto this forum and talk about chainstays and stuff. Oh well.

I'm pretty sure there are a couple threads going on right now that have to do with chainstays.

I am a sensitive guy atmo. The comments about framebuilders coming here to talk about anything gets my attention. I took the week off and missed a lot of chat and haven't read all the threads. You guys have a question - ask. I am home and the network seems to be working okay. PS I have rarely been as entertained by pro cycling as I have these past few weeks. The news from Wednesday forward was long anticipated. As people, all of these cats can answer to their makers when the time comes, and live with the secrets until then. But as celebrities and public figures in a sport we all follow, I absolutely love the drama and drink it in with a double straw. The short of it is I was cool, very cool, with omerta because I think the sport runs better when it takes care of itself (as it has for generations). That ship sailed. Had Armstrong or his posse read Godfather For Dummies we would never have had this fallout, and the entertainment on the road would have continued without missing a step.

June is at a friend's birthday party so I hit the paint booth a couple of times today to build clear coats on, yes you guessed it, some really nice chain stays that are part of nice frames. Four steel and two titanium.

We've all been entertained recently. Maybe not felt entertained, but there has been so much s_it flying around with enough of the folks we love to hate finally getting run up the flagpole, that it almost (almost) feels as though maybe, just maybe some good might come out of it all. I have serious doubts, but at least most can no longer be deniers. Well, I guess Phil still can. What a putz.

Sponsors who aren't bailing need to get really, really pissed. I'm sure someone at Orica told Matt White to pound sand today. Let the rest of them be shit-canned, too. Once the fixers and pushers are more outside than inside, things will turn the corner.

    Maybe they already have.

Hee, we're burning down the house. You can't burn halve the house down. Collateral damage.
ps My prediction was that US sponsorship will suffer even more than European.
