Help with ID Richard Sachs in Perth, Western Australia.

On my morning ride today, I did a double take on a bike coming the opposite way, I realised it was an RS in traditional red/cream. could not stop as I was headed down hill through an intersection. Not your everyday sighting here in Australia let alone Perth. Any info on the owner story would be appreciated. The RS was travelling East on Marmion Street after the Stock Rd intersection, in Melville at approximately 6:10am.

Don't understand. Sounds like you ID'd it pretty well already? Or are you trying to figure out who owns it? I think the best way to find that out is to keep your eyes open and introduce yourself personally next time you see the rider and their bike.

Might require going uphill next time though.

Yep wanted to ID the owner. Hadn't seen the bike around before and it caught me by surprise. I'll be sure to stop next time. Thought I may get lucky and find the owner or information via the forum.

How about the guy you walk right past on the street in the neighborhood where you know he lives because you've ridden hundreds of miles with him but never seen him off the bike without a hat on? Startled the hell out of me when some strange guy greets me by name.

This happens to me all the time. A guy started talking to me in the grocery store the other day and I had no clue who he was until he started walking away and I recognized the tattoo on his leg. I've been riding with him weekly for a couple years.

Walking my dog around town is like wearing a wizard's hat. He carries a toy everywhere he goes and people constantly want to stop us and meet him. Without him I'm just another sullen white man skulking down the street and those same people don't even see me. It's brilliant! I'd add hot girlfriends/wives to the list of dogs and kids... "Oh you're the guy with the girlfriend that has the _______ ________"

Ugh, I've done this one more times than I care to admit. It gets even worse in Winter, where everyone is all bundled up and that much harder to recognize. In the grocery store or cafe I've completely blanked guys that I've spent dozens of hours riding and bullshitting with!
