okay, so everybody knows i'm a homeboy when i talk about hampsten bikes but i've ridden this bike and it's truly, no bs, no hype fantastic. it looks like a modern racer and gives up nothing to the fast bikes, nuthin', but it also lets you ride a fatter tire yadayada. the design is the key; the fabrication is independent at their impeccable best. it costs a lot less than the 953 and rides every bit as nicely...though the 953 is All That and Some. this would be my everyday fair weather rider.

and its white. I love white bikes.

I saw one of the Hampsten's first prototypes about ten years ago in Tuscany. It has been interesting watching the company develop. I think Steve and Andy and the rest of the gang have done a great job of carving out a very cool niche for themselves. We are are richer for their efforts!

The best thing I did was have Steve design and build me up a beautiful ti bike. An incredibly balanced machine that eats up road and carves turns all freakin day long.

Its all just a phone call or e-mail away.

Steve contracted a Cinghiale Pro for me years ago and it remains a wonderful ride.

Red, too, and the ladies gawk at the girth of my chainstays, and that was before Dario made those things acceptable in public.

Give him some Stranahan's and the magic happens.

Looks like a fantastic bike, but looking at the pictures on the Hampsten site it doesn't look like it would take a very fat tire, unless the one pictured is already quite big.

the White Bike is designed for 23-25mm tires but i can get a 28mm tire in there if needed.

however, it was really designed for skinny tires, no fenders, short reach brakes.
