    Default fancy schmancy Peg dropouts

Dig it. I don't think I've seen these before b/c I would've remembered 'em. Anyone know if these are a Dario design? More tasty shots are available at http://www.abovecategorynews.com/200...or-rupert.html.

I must have been so focused on the big legs that I missed those in the past. Nice Resp!

But the other bike's a BLE.

My Love #3 doesn't have 'em. But it's a couple years old now.

Maybe it's a new design on all the frames using the Breezer-style dropouts?
    GO!

Are they much different than the two piece stainless steel dropouts on the Marcelo?

History note here. Generally hooded drops that were once turned from solid rod and to which this general design can be attributed come from the Wright Brothers.

    http://www.first-to-fly.com/Informat...%20Bicycle.jpg

Joe Breeze began using the design again in 80's/90's. Paragon machine works makes the one that many custom builders use today. CNC equipment allows one to chisel the rear end of that thing pretty easy but the concept is almost as old as bicycles themselves.

So, yes it is a Dario design, but then again no

Never personally been a fan of Breezer dropouts....they just don't please my eye. Obviously YMMV, IMO etc.

    To each their own

I like the paragon steel breezer style drops with the replaceable hanger. My next steel bike will have them.

My Love #3 does have Breezer-style dropouts, but they're not the "fancy-schmancy" kind about which the OP was inquiring.

and they make for a nice solid bike but they suck for quick rear wheel changes. dario's bikes for pro riders never used'em.

Well, I heard that Wilbur did a full analysis and indeed did determine they were more deformation resistant. He used the at the time the new Microsoft Abacus to run the FEA.

I know this. And I knew this before your earlier post. But they are commonly called Breezer dropouts, and I am attempting to communicate with others.

You know, I'm staring at the picture, and staring, and I cannot find the bug in the device. Are you sure it's by . . .
