Do the Lance Haters feel better now?

First let me state I'm neither a fan or hater of Lance. Just a viewer of the show. And not even all of it, just a few episodes here and there.

But it seems like there a lot of people (even on this board) who really really hate Lance. Now that he seems to be on The Great Fall, do those people feel better? Sure seems like a lot of people are really happy seeing his life fall apart. Which is kinda screwed up IMO.

Yes, it's sad in some ways, in others not so much. With the disdain he had for others that got in his way I feel pretty good that the truth wins out once in awhile.

I don't feel badly for him. He has gone out of his way to make life very difficult for people who spoke the truth early on. There are a lot of people who have suffered his wrath. Karma is a bitch. He has it coming. He defrauded millions.

Didn't REALLY care about the actual doping. It was all his other behavior that I found distasteful.
I don't think this makes me a hater and I don't feel particularly happy.

I would frame the issue differently than you have characterized. I think people reacted negatively to
the hypocrisy, and being asked to believe something that clearly was a lie. The state of Lance's life
isn't much of a concern for me, he has made his choices. He still has the opportunity to tell the truth,
and I think most people will move on after that. Until then, he continues the charade.

I've been happier and more relaxed the last week than I have been in years. People commented on my positive demeanor at the gas station and I'm still so happy.

I found myself in a room full of 90's XC racers on Saturday night and we spontaneously started shooting our rifles into the air like we'd liberated Benghazi.

I don't really think I could ever see Armstrong covered in enough of his own filth to elicit even a whimper of pity.

I never hated the man - his behavior at times was appalling. The way he treated colleagues, team mates, and the public has been appalling too. His sporting life and achievements will now be seen as coming from a walking, talking deception machine. It's sad that it came to this, but he is to blame, not those who watched and commented as it unfolded. As I mentioned on another post, now Lance Armstrong has become the role model he thought he was all along. He's a poster boy for how not to get it done. And I think more good can come from this example than all the wristbands put together atmo. His story touches all of us, not just those with a connection to cancer.

I am sad for the damage done to sport and the takedown of a sporting hero.

Happy for Greg Lemond. And Paul Kimmage, and David Walsh. And Emma O'Reilly, and Betsy Andreu. And everybody else who was bullied, harassed, threatened, deprived, and lessened by LA, because maybe this at least confirms their strength and the fact that they were in the right.

Am I happy for his misfortune? I guess a little, only because it feels like the first iota of justice.
