Hmmm, perhaps resurrect Rock Racing? He'd love the idea.

Cycling is turning into big boat racing bank rolled by the wealthy- when was the last time we saw a big name sponsor step in at the highest level?

There has always been to a certain extent benefactors in the sport who have bank rolled individual riders when their contract was not rich enough for certain teams- but this is riduculous.

Totally true. The rich dude model won't work long term. Leopard is the perfect example; they were rolled out as the super team, totally legit, then sugar daddy got pissy when they didn't win the tour and wanted to take his ball and go home. Had the Shack not come along, they likely would have folded. What a joke given all the glossy PR and histrionics when they were announced.
