    Default Best all-rounder wheels?

If you had to get rid of all your wheels except one set, what would they be and why? (sounds like a corny writting assignment from 6th grade.)

    from what I have now
My 27mm niombium tubular (veloflex carbons) 28 sapim spokes front and rear with tune hubs. Bomb proff, but light. no carbon at the moment. My Campy Eurus is close second.

DT Swiss RR1.1 rims & 240 hubs, 28 DT Revo spokes, laced 2x both front & back. Because they're light, comfy and pretty much bulletproof (for this 155lb wimp).

But fortunately, I don't have to have just one. I'm looking forward to buying something deep-dishish and carbony once I pay off some bills.
    GO!

So I presume by "all-arounder" you don't mean wheels for a bike capable of riding everything from smooth blacktop to gravel roads to fire roads, with 35-38mm wide low pressure tires?

I think it was more simple....what are YOUR favorite all around wheels.

Mine are campy Eurus wheels since I don't do all that stuff mentioned above.

    Default for my riding

DT240 hubs, DT supercomp spokes, Ambrosio Nemesis 32, Vittoria Pave27s --> built by somebody good

Or Mavic PR SSCs, but it is easier to get the Nemesis (and cheaper).

But w/o knowing what you weigh, how and where you ride it is hard to say.

I would love to know what your favorite wheels are for these conditions. I'm currently riding eurus' wheels with jack browns, and wondering how long it will take to destroy them. I'm 155 or so and haven't had any problems yet...but it's only been a few weeks.

    Default Open Pros or RR1.1???

I have Open Pros w/ DT DB Comps, Brass nips on Ultegra Hubs that have Jack Browns on them. I have taken these on some really rough washboard gravel decents and pot holes roads and they have stayed true. These wheels are also cheap enough and rebuildable that if I do ruin one if is not a big deal.

That said I also have a set of DT rr1.1 rims on Ultrega Hubs and I really like these as well. Toss up.
