Which bearings for XTR 960 / Where should I get them?

Hi! Just wondering if anyone has some insight on the what/where of buying some new BB bearings. I'm tempted to buy some direct from Phil, but if anyone else has some ideas I'm all ears. They'll be going in XTR 960 cups on a SS, if that matters.

You mean these? : Universal Cycles -- Shimano FC-M970 XTR Bottom Bracket Cups You could order the cartridges from central bearing but for the $$ just get new. The cups are made of swiss cheese and the act of removing / re-installing cartridges and repeated installation of the cups will lead to creaks you don't need. I TOTALLY understand if you are doing this on the cheap respect respect so take this as my "take" on this.

Nope, not totally on the cheap. In fact, I am developing creaking so I may well just get a new BB. Thanks for the insight!

Related question (sorry for hijacking the thread): I have some brand new bearings from a DA7800 BB that was upgraded to Phil Wood.
Is it possible to put them in XT FC-M760 cups (which should be pretty much identical as OP's XTR)?
