I recently built up a frame using a sugino triple crankset that was recommended to be used with either a 113 or 115mm square taper BB. I went with 115 since thats what I had. I have noticed with hard effort that I get a small bit of FD chain rub. I assume this is mostly a property of the frame (frame flex), but I wondered whether a longer than needed BB length would contribute to this problem to any significant extent. I think the bike would work as well with 113 as 115mm BB. Seems like too small a difference to be meaningful.
