Back in August, there were photos, since then there doesn't seem to be any update.
Has anyone in the biz heard a date they might release them?

"hey, we got grenades!"
does this mean that the new standard has been decided upon?
Steve, have you used one yet? I've got to decide which way to go in the next couple of weeks putting a Shimano crank in a PF30.
haven't used one and that's not my hand - but they do exist

OK- when someone actually gets one can you post your opinion.
I want to know if I should get my new ti bike with PF30 bb or good old threaded?
i remember when TT used to hand out press-ups.
You simply can't go wrong with the boring old BSC threaded bottom brackets. No pressfits to worry about tolerances and such, and the ability to put just about any type of bb in there. If you want BB30 cranks, such as Hollowgrams, then you may have no choice. I would never have a custom frame built with anything other than a BSC threaded BB shell. That may change down the road but there's nothing out there now that makes me want to reconsider that.
I get that, but if it leads to compromises in the function of the BB and Crank, then no thanks.
I may simply be behind the curve in appreciating the improvement of PF30 vs the creaky BB30, but I am cool with that.
Cheers.
Thought it would be easy coming up with a narrow q factor set up for my new PF 30 MTB frame, but unless I shell out a lot of money it's not gonna be that easy.
It took me hours to google my options. Just pressed my SRAM PF 30 cups with the vise and wood blocks in the frame (pretty easy). Will use adapters and a single ring spider on a truvativ 156 mm road triple to make it work. Probably a lot of spacer / shimming needed. For now I can see that it's stiffer but the smoothest BB I run right now sits in my full suspension bike, and is a square taper shimano XTR that is 15 years old. The PF BB 30 is not going to beat that. I can say so much already. It took 15 years to appreciate the flexibility and durability of square taper BB's . Looking forward to the stiff frame though..
Didn't some dood make his out of washing machine parts? Think he set a record or something.
