My first "race" ever. A cyclocross alleycat race through the hills of Berkeley and Oakland. Conditions couldn't have been more favourable with 2 days rain prior to the event.
I'm thinking of watering it later and seeing what sprouts.

Wicked pissah ;)
Yep, looks right to me. What say the Salon?
Looks like you got hydroseeded.:)
The resurgence of mixed-terrain alleycats (and just organized rides in general) is great, hopefully someone organizes one in PDX soon.
Is that a Waterford? Pictures of it in it's full filthiness?
Looks like a Montana road ride in the spring,,,,,,,,,,, or about now.

What kind of rear brake housing are you using?
Man, I really like the color of that frame (underneath the mud, of course). Any chance you can post a full bike shot?
Hope the race went well for you!
Hope you had fun!
Super old school :D BMX clamp with a vintage TA Specialties cable hanger.
I'll post some full pics of the bike tomorrow.
Race was awesome. Probably a 60-70 person turnout. Everything from cat 2/3 cross racers to randonneurs to MTN racers out there. There was even some guy on an Orbea Orca with 700x23 road tires! A total free-for-all. Beer and dogs afterwards + loads of prizes. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Battery was charged so snapped some pics before I clean her up. Frameset is a Gunnar Crosshairs without the awful downtube and toptube decals. Fork is kinda rare as they only did the flatcrown on the Gunnar CX bikes for a few months. Then went back to their standard sloper.
