I was inspired by his ability to get F1 tech help to build a lighter stiffer cycle based on carbon fiber. I am also thinking that machine must have a very good aero profile - notice the solid disc wheels and low profile

Also, his stash of tubulars and wheels looks like mine—and I'm sure many others'. Heh.

He is awesome and so is his hand cycle. I remember him in London. He also made the Pros on Lightweights thread over at WW.
    All Colnagos must be raced.

No question. I've ridden some long arse miles with a very select few recumbent riders who were also legitimately fast and they leave NO draft also their aero advantage is pretty darn evident into headwinds and downhill. Locally, we have some very strong handcyclists that train with my teammates and one or two of the guys can flat out boogie.
I hear you wrt tech. I've got a wild idea that is not unrelated to add a new class of racing (tandem bikes) to Paralympics for "seated" para-athletes...but I'd need the attention of an angel donor, the USA Paralympic committee and a builder's attention to make this happen and these are both unlikely things to happen.

Alex was a fun guy to watch. It's great that he's still winning races.

Handcycling = hardest thing I've ever done.
Puts you on the couch, hard.
Going riding with two guys this weekend, one makes offroad handcycles, the other is "The strongest offroad hancyclist in the world" - wish me luck - he edged me out for 2nd at the world's a few yrs ago & I have 40lbs on him......
I may be the strongest technical rider in the world, however........
Should be fun - I'll let you know how it goes.
