Default Tom Kellogg 30th Anniversary #1

Tom Kellogg 30th Anniversary #1....maybe this should have been under the Spectrum listings but, technically, I guess it's not REALLY a Spectrum...I'll let Tom decide on that....by the way, NICE guy!!!

If you follow the link below you will be treated to a rather long but "fun to look" at series of pictures of my Number One 30th Anniversary ride from Tom. It's taken me almost 3 years to gather all the parts that I wanted to use and I've finally taken this bike on it's maiden voyage....and I am in love with it! I was home and bed-ridden with a blood clot in my right leg when Tom and I hooked up on the sale of this frame and fork and I didn't want to even start on the build until I had gathered all of what I thought were exactly the right components, especially little things like the Cobalto brakes WITH original stones, drilled brake levers, Swallow saddle, etc.

I asked Tom if he minded if I used the pre-assembly pictures that he took along with his comments on this frame and fork and he was gracious in allowing me to do so...I just felt that perhaps some of you would enjoy seeing HIS pictures and then MY pictures and listening to the interesting comments he had on each tube, lug, dropouts, etc.

Follow this link and I hope you enjoy the pictures and commentary! Some of my files ended up being a little larger than intended so please be patient with the loading process, thanks!

Wow. The workmanship on that bike is just out of this world, and the whole build is absolutely perfect.

Many, many thanks for the great photos, and to TK for his notes and input. Simply stunning.

I studied that Daytona Blue frame on the Spectrum website for what seems months. I really liked the idea of the vintage build materials. Too bad that one didn't fit me !!! I ordered a 30th Anniv frame last Dec which arrived a little over a month ago. Our builds are practically identical. Great minds think alike !!! My carbon riding buddies even like the way it rides !!
    Very Nice !!!!

too bad he's wrong about how rare those 1010 dropouts are, I tried selling some on ebay, no dice. The 1010a seem to be pretty popular though.

I don't mind at all...here is a link to the page that will provide pictures of other bikes I have plus some other fairly interesting bike-related shots.
