Wow - lots of tall 'vagen owners I guess.

Deep carbon wheels in the very near future on my SV. Was going to get Chorus 11 and some nice alum tubulars, but I'm going to jump right over the carbon wheels instead since my '06 Record is working just fine now that I've replaced the rings, cables, cassette, chain, bb.

Hey VB, is that the new Antares with the center channel? If so, can you compare it to the standard "non relief" model?
Hey BryanF - That is the Cervelo Team Ediition Antares (all black with patent leather on the back "wings"). I almost sprung for an Arione with the center channel but the only one I found was on eBay. I like the Antares like it is, but I'm sure the relief version will be a nice feeling saddle as well.

JasonD - Nice pics. Nice build. Maybe I should get my pro-photog friend to take some shot so I can match your quality level.

Thank you! I'm looking for a decent "industrial" area with some great graphity in my town to take more pics. The photos above are from my canon powershot so the camera is nothing special but I did use the Macro feature a lot.

Clear powdercoat over bare metal. Powercoat colors, then another clear powercoat over the panels.

Those are all super nice. The matching stem and hubs really pulls it together. JeffS, the green tires actually look pretty good and I am usually not a fan of colored tires. Anyways, hard for me to know that you have that SV in Raleigh right now, we will have to get out and ride sometime...

There's a whole lot of surface prep required to get that raw finish before that first clear coat, believe me!
    Looks great.

They match the frame perfectly. Ceramic coated?

Upon seeing the first images, I was not a fan. Now I love it. I think you guys have all done a great job building them up. I really like the nude design and wouldn't mind having one myself. I hope they ride as nice as they look.

Anyone who doesn't like this finish needs to have their head examined. HOWEVER, I was more impressed with how artfully Scott/Sacha/VanillaVerkshop squoze the Cancellara motor in my bb.

I've been contemplating changing my handlebar tape and I think seeing all these SM's has confirmed it. Might need to make a pit stop on the handlebra website and pick up some white tape with bright green stitching.

I prefer the SRAM shifters over Campy - lighter, better shifting mech, luckily still just 10 speeds. And I'm a Campy fan which didn't make things easier. Therefor I tried the Campy front der which performs even better than the SRAM...

You bet and that's the main thing about it. The look is part of the game but the minor.
