  1. Pereira

jra, i met a nice woman yesterday riding this beautiful tony periera - said it was a 20th anniversary present. it was one of those "i-have-to-do-a-U-turn-on-this-hill-to-go-look-at-that" moments - well worth the effort.

This is the Ogre. Phenomenal bike. It is a singlespeed and it hurt my bad knee, I let it go. I regret it. Tony is great to work with and his work matches his unparalleled passion for all things bike. I have a road bike on the way from him in several weeks. I'll post pics when it's done.

Pereira's work speaks to me. It says, "You don't need new carpet."

Tony was great to work with and if I wasn't a big fan of non-spousal variety, I would work with him again. The bike is not absolutely perfect, but it is very very good and I am pretty picky. I have lowered the bars a bit since that picture was taken, using plain old spacers, but I am hoping to find someone with a lathe to (I hope) CAREFULLY cut 1cm off the painted to match spacer. It seems like that should be possible without ruining the paint.

A tiny bit of Tony love, yeah.

I have a tricky stem by Tony that sits on my Kirk rando bike. 'Tis only a stem, but it is a nice one. Tony was good to work with, knew his stuff (stem is integrated to a Berthoud decalleur) and more or less delivered on time. With JB paint it looks perfect too....

I saw the green mixte Pereira bike and its rider by University of Washington last week. Nice bike and nice woman. Seems I am not the only one that has seen the bike online before seeing in it on the road.

    That black bike is killer!

  15. Re: Pereira

Nice job with the photography. The bike is very easy on the eyes, simply a pleasure to look at without being ostentatious.
