    Default New Stainless Lugged Ellis

Here are a few pics of my new stainless lugged Ellis that I received in time for Christmas. The frame is absolutely stunning and I really can't be any happier with the way in turned out. A big thank you to Dave Wages and Jason Sanchez (paint) for all the hard work they put into the frame.

That is a head turner ~ nice!

    Is Ellis in WI?

I love the look of his work but I can not afford the bikes, or I would love one for myself.

Congrats. That has a really great blend of classic and modern going on that REALLY appeals to me. Great Pics too by the way.

I think that that is the Fizik Dual handlebar tape in red/white, wrapped so that the white with red stitching is exposed and the red stripe is covered. When it wraps around the levers, there's a spot that reverses and the red stripe is exposed.

    Stunning bike, btw!

Very nice. I love my Ellis. It will ride just as good as it looks. Mine is hanging up for the winter and I find myself still staring at it. I went with Deda Silver stem and post and it goes very nicely with the polished stainless lugs. I can't get enough of the shiney stuff. I still have a 120mm stem if you want it.

Nope- the Easton SLX3 bars are red in color except for the carbon part up by the stem.

and not just the orange; something about that particular shade of orange with the white panels & red letters really speaks to me. Very attractive.

    Default New Stainless Lugged Ellis

Thanks for all the positive comments on my new Ellis. I think Dave and Jason did an amazing job with the "modern classic" look I was going for. Unfortunately, the weather here in Colorado hasn't really cooperated as of late so I'll probably have to wait until the spring to post a proper ride report.

As for the handlebar tape, actually happycampyer is correct (good eye!). It is the Fizik dual tape in red/white on my FSA Wing Pro handlebar. I'm trying out this tape for the first time and think the extra splash of red around the levers looks pretty cool. Anyone using this tape that has any comments on it?

I dig the orange, white, stainless, black, and little splashes of red. That is a really nice looking bike. As nice as it looks, I'm sure it will ride even better!
