    Default Icarus Frames

Hi, all, I just wanted to take a moment to tell you about a Boston builder from whom I recently bought a frame. His name is Ian Sutton, and his marque is Icarus. He's just starting out as a full-time builder, but he worked at Seven after training under Yamaguchi, so he has a fair bit of experience. I shopped around for a long time before asking him to build me a frame (my first custom!), and I'm extremely pleased with the results. He gently talked me out of the dumb ideas that I had, and came up with some better ones. His brazing and finishing work are beautiful, and he is very responsive and communicative. He has IDEAS--and, while his frames share a certain aesthetic, no two of them look identical. First frame is mine (build pics this weekend!).

I just wanted to bring a young builder to your attention! Check him out at www.icarusframes.com .

Looks like he has some level of legitimacy if S&S is willing to sell him couplers. One more for New.England.H.B.S!

That one and the one right after it are my faves...last fixie is a little artsy for my tastes, but all have excellent details...good stuff!

I finally got my Icarus all built up. Wheels and tires are temporary. I hope that I'll be able to share a less Beau Brummell-esque build with you in the coming months.

The ride is really lovely. My "nice" fixed gears have been aluminum up to this point, and I am loving how comfortable this bike is. Handling is still quite snappy, and the fit is perfect.

This is my first custom, and I think I'm addicted...

The second one up has unreal paint in person. Gotta hand it to circle A and Ian.
    Icarus is the bees knees.

And I hope that bottom one is my friend Saul's ride. I haven't seen it yet, but it promises to be epic.

Love the aesthetics and stylings of these Icarus frames. Especially the green/white/blue, gorgeous.
