    Default DeRosa

I'm a newbie to this site, and this is my fist true contribution besides a classified, so hello. This is my NOS De Rosa Neo Primato that I picked-up last week from Alan's bicycles in PA (3 hour drive in the snow). It's a 2000 frameset that Alan had had sitting around the shop for the last 8 years. It's made from Columbus Genius and is friggin burns the eyes when you look at it. I couldn't be more excited. Once I have it together I'll post pics of the final build.

It will be built with full Record (10 speed) and Neutron Ultra wheels. I also bought NOS 3t Pro Titanium stem for the build (from the same shop), but I think it might look better with a black stem. The seat post I have for it is a fluted Super Record. I'm in the process of filling the flutes with neon orange paint. Oh, and a black King HS of course.

Default Early 90's De Rosa with C-Record

Originally black, N. Rosen painted this a nice blue. I thought this was what "Ugo Blue" looked like, but I'm not sure. Either way, came out real nice. Love the "aero" look of the c-record crank and RD. The friction shifting works beautifully. I am just waiting for a white Rolls from Doofus to finish this baby.

Great looking bike. The blue is a little off Ugo Blue (I'll post mine later tonight), but it looks great. Is the chrome original?

    Thanks guys.

Originally both chainstays were chromed. I think we left the right one alone but painted over the left one (not sure why). The fork was rechromed.

You'll be glad you made the drive. Great bike in a seldom seen color.

That appears to be what DeRosa called "Spanish Blue." Ugo Blue was also known as Samantano Blue (from the old Samantano team bikes) and wais much darker. Both were common colors back in the day.

    Wow, a De Rosa gallery!

Here's my early 90s Nuovo Classico with C Record. I've since changed the pedals to Speedplay Zeros and added white bar tape.

My favorite part on the whole bike
