    Thumbs up Della Santa

I don't think I saw a Della Santa section created in the gallery (I did look) so I will start one.

Here she is all built up.

Can't say enough good things about the frame and the way it fits me, my mech has the Red dialed in perfectly (last year it seemed such a pain) it is a true joy to ride.

Still have to trim the steerer tube but I am in no hurry.
I weighed it before the ride (with pedals and Zipp wheels on) came in at just over 17lbs.
If I wanted to I am sure I could get to 16 easily enough.

Here are pics I took yesterday, wheels, jersey and tool pack all from Salon members.

I should have used a pony tail holder I see. lol

That looks nice! I hear the weather back in WI has been unseasonably warm as of late, so hopefully you have been able to put many, many miles on that beauty.

Yes it feels like June up here.

There was tons of folks out riding yesterday.
I like most WI peeps got a nice sunburn on our lilly white skin yesterday.

Nice bike. Congratulations. If you'd used a pony tail holder you wouldn't have been a messy parrot in the photo.

    About the pony tail. lol

The saddle is a Bontrager Inform, I like it but not so much I wouldn't try something else.

    Looks great!

Red and white bike are my favorites for sure. Have you ridden with a San Marco Regal?

80 + here in Minnesota yesterday.

So sunburned, I can barely smile.:)

how the hell is there no della santa gallery? i guess he is just taken for granted. his frames are classy, understated, beautiful, and badass.

p.s. i think white should be the official color for a d.s.

Your Della Santa looks fantastic. I know you will enjoy it. Roland builds such classic frames and is really a pleasure to deal with. Roland built a frame and fork in Ultraviolet for my lil Irish lass. I built it up for her with Campy Chorus 10S in the silver finish. I must have scoured Ebay for several months before I found everything. I had Joe Young build some proper handbuilts on some NOS Record hubs and DT wheels. White saddle and tape. Peggy loves the ride. It was her first steel bike, and compared to the Pinarello F3 carbon , is smooth as silk. This summer will be here second season on "Lil Rolo" as she calls it. Every time she rides it , somebody compliments her on it.
I hope you enjoy your Della Santa as much.

Very nice bike. When I was looking for a new bike a few years back, Roland was certainly on my list - nice guy, great bike. Hope you are enjoying the mild Wisconsin Spring.

Thanks much all, fc356 please post pics this the gallery now :)

As far as the wheels I have Topolinos for every day use the Zipps are for race days or non windy days.
I want a set of CK road wheels built up next.

This is my Della Santa road. Order another one for fatter tires, canti brakes, fender and racks. Not planning on using the fenders/rack during the dry season in Bay Area but comes in handy around Dec.-March.

Well, this is what I have for now, sweet road bike.
