    Default Cielo Sportif by Chris King

    Here are a few pics of my new Cielo Sportif. I purchased the frameset to build up as my primary commuter with parts that I had on hand. Although I originally intended to go custom, the Cielo's stock geometry fits me perfectly and I won't cry as much if it's stolen.

    Anyway, the build specs:

    *59cm ST and TT;
    *CK Headset and BB;
    *Dura Ace 7800 derailleurs and DT Shifters
    *Mavic Open Pro rims (36H rear and 32H front) with Ultegra 6600 Hubs;
    *Ritchey WCS Seatpost, Stem and handlebars;
    *Brooks Swallow saddle
    *Raceface Cadence crankset (53/39);
    *Ultegra 12-27;
    *Shimano BR-600 long reach brakes;
    *Tektro brake levers; and
    *Michelin Krylion tires (25mm).

    I goofed on the stack height and I need to cut the steerer tube a little more. Otherwise, the bike rides very well. The frame and fork appear to be very well constructed and the finish is excellent. Can't wait for the rainy season so I can fit some fenders! This one might be a keeper....

    Man, I've been looking at these Cielos for pretty much the same purpose for a couple months now. Thanks for further crumbling my resolve to not get any new bikes for awhile! Looks really nice, including the downtube shifters.

    River City in Portland has had one on the floor. When I'm there I go in and get all lust filled. They are nice looking bikes. Yours looks great.

    I saw the Cielos at NAHBS - I was smitten by a foxy burnt orange CX:
