    Default Bohemian Bicycles

    Hi Everyone.

    I thought I would start this off, not with my work but with my apprentices work. He just finished his second bicycle (although he has been hanging around three years) and I am very proud of what he has done here.

    A cross bike with 953 main tubing. Tube treatments are a mix of bead blasting and polish. The green color is a natural earth (ocher) pigment from France. These are made by mining certain veins of clay and then separating the colors in large outdoor ponds. I figured if people want Earth tones than it should darn well come from the Earth.

    David - You need to post finished pictures and details of the bike you have been working on for Interbike. It's very impressive.

    Wow. Just wow.

    I LOVE that polished "panel" set in the middle of the bead blasted tubes on that green bike. What a stylish way to go about it. Awesome.

    Got any pics of the Fairwheel Bikes special bike?

    That bike was built in conjunction with Fairhweels Bikes which has been testing them for the last year or so. They also have a black pair on the Rue at the booth.

    We need some close ups of this bike, the inlays in the lugs are very different.

    Thank you Allerge99. Yes, the cranks and brakes were provided by Fairwheel Bicycles who distributes/sell retail those products and many others here in Tucson. It is very nicely done and very light of course. Total weight of the blue bike was just around 13.5 lbs.

    The bike/s will be back soon and I will get some nice photography of them. It is really hard to get a good shot in poor lighting conditions and the like.

    Thanks guys. Little hint. Hopefully someday I won't have to put anyone else's crankset on my bicycles. Stay tuned

    effin sweetmo.

    most notably at first glance-the polish/blast contrast and the bare tube/painted lug.

    kudos maximus. :thumbs_up::thumbs_up:

    Because people look at the frames and aren't completely convinced they're real.
