These two lovely bikes just aren't getting enough action around here anymore. I've moved on to other bikes and I hate seeing these go to waste, would love to send them on to a new home to get ridden appropriately.

1st up - Custom Scott Quiring road bike. Build around 2008-2009. Mix of Deda Zero and Zero Uno tubing. Rides really nice like it should. Nice paint job, color matched Reynolds Ouzo fork. Not a scratch on it anywhere I can find. Built up with all alloy Campy Centaur 10speed. Silver King HS, silver Thompson 0-offset post and 130mm stem. (I have an identical 120mm stem if you'd prefer). Ritchey WCS classic bars 44cm. Stainless King cages - hand polished. Geo- TT 58.5cm, HT - 20cm, ST - 61 c-t. Only about 2-3k miles on the whole thing. Would really like to keep the wheels, I've got a Shimano freehub body to swap on there and have a use in mind for them. If you really want them I can probably be talked into selling them though. What is NOT included - pedals and saddle.

Next - Specialized E5. Got this as a backup bike to keep at my apartment when I was trying to live in 2 places at once. Now that I'm all in one place it doesn't get used much. Bought from a grassroots racing team as a spare frame at the end of a season that had never been built up. Built with 1st Gen alloy SRAM Rival except for a Dura-ace crankset. Deda short&shallow classic drops 46cm (outside-outside). 130mm Easton EA90 stem with decals acetone'd off. There isn't a model name on this bike since it was for a race team it just says "Specialized" everywhere. It's basically an E5-Aerotec Aluminum S-works with carbon rear-stays from what I can tell. Can't find a geo chart on their website that really corresponds but based on my measurements its 59cm TT, 18cm HT, 57cm actual ST, (effectively about 62cm if non dropped TT). Very low miles, perfect condition (never even got around to trimming the fork steerer). Light and snappy. What is NOT included - pedals, saddle, wheels.

FS / Swap - Long Shot: My Baum

I haven't ridden this for a while for various reasons - mainly because the geometry is a little too upright for me now - and it's now stripped bare due to re-assigning parts for my next project (as well as being made an offer on the Di2 parts that I couldn't refuse). With the bare frame just hanging there now I can't help but think it should be put to better use.

This setup as pictured cost me $9k. Yes, that stings a little over two years down the line - and I know I'll be unlikely to get a 'comfortable percentage' of that (whatever that may mean) back through selling it. Part of me is contemplating a soda blast to strip it back to raw Ti and rebuild it with 9070 Di2 or EPS (and there's a slightly sick side of me that wants to put an eccentric BB adaptor in the PF30 shell and run it singlespeed with riser bars and a PDW basket [I really want to do this, but it'd be heresy!]). In reality though I think it's just time to move on...

Sale offers are likely to make me cringe and/or rock quietly in the corner. Part of me wants to visit my LBS and see if he'll swap it for a C59 frameset, but (despite the cost of a C59 to him being less than 1/3rd of the cost of this was) I reckon I'd get laughed out of the shop.

It's basically as it was when it left Baum. The paint is mostly immaculate, as is the raw Ti that's on show. There's two points to note: firstly that the paint for about 10mm below the bottom edge of the ISP topper is scuffed (from using a longer PMP ISP topper - of which I can also supply two), and secondly that the matching custom painted saddle is slightly scuffed around the edges. It'll come with the 110mm Tune stem, the ISP topper, custom painted San Marco Superleggera carbon saddle, the PF30 BB (which was replaced not that long ago) and the 7090 Di2 wires left in it (with battery mount on the non-drive side chainstay). The fork is an Enve 1.0 and the headset is a Tune Bobo. I've also got the Mcfk carbon derailleur band that I used for the Di2 front mech.

There's endless pics of it in various guises here, but this is probably the one I like the most:

It was also featured on CycleEXIF.

The geometry is essentially the same as this but with a 55.5cm top tube and a 19cm head tube (I can't find the final signed off version):

[I'll edit and upload when I can get attachments to work!]

In the interest of total transparency, it was repaired by Baum around a year ago as the ISP developed a crack. Darren Baum repaired it himself and told me the frame is probably better than when it left him originally (he claims nobody in the factory could tell where the repair was even on the raw Ti when he was done). There's zero risk of the same thing happening again as he sleeved the area (i.e. where the seat tube becomes the ISP at the TT join) with a thin piece of Ti tubing to strengthen it and eliminate the risk of a repeat. The frame and fork received a total respray at the time to ensure no colour mismatch, and I've probably only put 750km on it since.

Basically, does anyone have anything they'd be interested to swap? I'm interested in complete bikes or equally boutique (but not necessarily as pricey) framesets, part projects, fancy wheelsets (potentially)... The main hurdle to all of this is that I'm in Australia (Sydney) and most of the VSalon are US-based. Regardless, if you don't ask you don't get.

PM me if you have something to offer.

FS: Busyman bar tape - Black leather + purple stitch

I got this tape done specifically for this Cycle EXIF photoshoot. The bike was stripped down afterwards, and when I rebuilt it I used white tape. This tape was never tightly wrapped, nor was it fitted how Mick (the Busyman) says you should (i.e. soaked in water so that it tightens against the bar and shapes on drying - it was literally fitted one day, shot the next and removed the next day (I did have every intention of using it again, but never did). It is cut to wrap a 40cm bar so if you run a wider bar it could come up short. I do have a couple of sticky black 'cheat strips' cut to tape the lever clamps to send with the tape.

Anyway, it's sat in my spares box doing nothing - if someone wants it I'll pass it on. It cost me $130 (AUD). It'll probably cost me $30 or so to send to the US. If you're interested I reckon on an expensive-but-worth-it $85.

Not advertising because I need to get rid - just sticking it up in case it can be better used than sat in a box...

Seems like it might go for a reasonable sum of money. I'd be tempted myself but I'm happy with the S&S cross bike I have, particularly after making a couple changes recently.
